Breaking Bad

While today has been a wasted day, I'm watching Breaking Bad and did actually get a few of the (I think 43 comics current comics) read today. I just realized I haven't updated this blog in a while and I know some people are finding it and to my surprise, some people are buying digital copies of my books on Drive Thru Comics. I figured I should give you some kind of an update. I'm working on a web comic. A highschool gradeschool buddy of mine that I've known for a long time is working on it with me. When it launches it'll be out every couple weeks (we hope) and we're looking at January for the launch, possibly May. Hopefully in time we'll even see a redesign to my web site. Yeah, you're seeing it right, a whole lot of nothing. That's the update. Have a good day, until next time. Keith

Scatter Brained Recap of C3 2012

Well, all in all, I hear it was a success for everyone and that includes me. I think my fan base is growing, not by much, but there was a few newbies and oldies.

I sold 14 Lantern prints, 4 of the 11/88 group print & one Modern Hood print.

Then I sold 2 copies of growing Pains and I think 15 (not counting the five from my Mom) copies of The Legend Killer and looks like 6 copies of Modern Hood and even 2 copies of Indie Comics Magazine.

Things just went better this year, as I showed in the pics, I had a banner that seemed to work out very well (made the news). And my table wasn't cluttered. I brought in more than I needed, but I also kept a lot in my car.

The bad news is we think the extra success was because of memorial weekend. That might mean memorial weekend next year too. I know I'm doing "12" (I think in color) next year, and I think between the lowered prices and having things pre-signed, that helped sales.

Not exactly sure what I’ll do to make next year better. I know I need new stands for the prints, I had to improvise on that this year, but they worked great for the books.

I might get another L banner. Not sure what I’d do for it, I got the Growing pains cover on the one I had, but it didn’t increase sales on Growing Pains at all.

I might throw in a back up story in “12”, I might not. I know I want to get Maria up for next years convention and hopefully David too. And with major respect to Jethro, I might ask Tyler Sowles (Killustrations Studios) or Ryan Lee so a cover for “12” or maybe a bit of a mash up cover.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by and supported me. I’m hoping for better numbers next year. I don’t care how I get you to my table, if it’s being local or having the last name Robinson (I heard it at the show), as long as you like my work, that’s my goal.

See you next year,
Keith Frederick Robinson

One Month

Sorry it's been a while (For anyone that actually pays attention to this. I just noticed I'm on the list of exhibitors for the 2012 Cherry Capital Con.

I'm been doing a much better job of keeping my Facebook page up to date and doing a slightly better job keeping my Deviant Art up to date.

Last year was a year of learning for me. I had no idea what to expect as far as sales go and had just enough arrogance to vastly over estimate what I could do outside the convention and inside the convention.

This year I have a little more to offer for a lot less.

So here is the list of things for sale. I'm still working on the prices though.

Growing Pains
Modern Hood
The Legend Killer (Makes it's comic debut)

Green Lantern Master Splinter (For charity)
Red Lantern Demona (For charity)
Yellow Lantern Scarecrow (For charity)
Modern Hood convention cover (For Joseph & Henrik)
11/88 Studios Group shot (Features The Legend Killer staring Tyler Kirk (Growing Pains) & Modern Hood down.)

Along with all that I'll have a couple long boxes and a box or two of various comics, trades, books, toys and DVD's from my personal collection. Hope to see everyone there.

The Legend Killer

The Legend Killer has been accepted into the Spring issue of Indie Comic Magazine.

That will be a slightly trimmed version of one of the story's in the first issue of The Legend Killer which will be self published by 11/88 Studios.

The version in the magazine will be eight pages instead of ten and it'll be the Werewolf story done by Jethro Morales. Jethro also worked with me on Growing Pains. He did chapter 3.

The Legend Killer will also be sold at the 2012 Cherry Capital Con.

It will feature a ten page story by Jethro Morales (Werewolf story) and another ten page story by Tyler Sowles (Vampire story). The cover was colored by new frequent colorist Maria Belen Pilaftsidis-Horsch.

And it features the letters of MaGnUs and the editing of Nick Caldwell.

I think that sums the update up.
